Electrode paste, also known as self-baking carbon electrode, is a carbonaceous material used as a conductor in electric arc furnaces for producing ferroalloys and calcium carbide. It softens when heated and gradually bakes into a solid, forming a continuous conductive electrode inside the furnace.
Key Features
Excellent electrical conductivity
High mechanical strength after baking
Good thermal resistance
Low ash content
Smooth sintering and baking performance
Available in cylindrical or briquette form
